The Boy Scouts of America designates the Sunday that falls before February 8 (Scouting Anniversary Day) as Scout Sunday, which is the primary date to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting.

This monthly meeting of the District Committee is used to guide scouting activities of the district.

Scout Fair is an event where Scouts from 16 counties converge to showcase their Scouting skills.

The Silver Beaver Award is the highest form of recognition that a local council can bestow on a volunteer for distinguished service to youth.  Nominations are due May 1.

The New Eagle Scout Reception recognizes the previous year’s Eagle Scout Class. 

All unit leaders are invited to the Arrowmoon District Retreat. The purpose of the retreat is to share information about the state and trends of our district. Detailed information about units, registrations, school participation, geographic coverage, and more will be shared. The objective of the retreat is to turn the current negative membership trends of our district around and foster a model fall recruitment cycle this year.

The district swim party will be held at Adamson Lagoon (1900 Anderson, College Station, TX 77840). All Scouts and their families are invited.  There is a 50 meter, Olympic-size swimming pool, diving well, wading pool, and a family-oriented water park equipped with two large water slides and a separate baby pool fit for younger children.

Roundtable is a district monthly to help leaders plan and carry out their own program.

The Venturing Summit is the end-of-the-summer activity for all Venturers, Sea Scouts and your friends who are thinking about joining the program. 

The OA Troop Representative Summit is a training experience for OA troop representatives and their advisers. The summit focuses on building leadership skills, providing service to the troop and working with the OA troop representative adviser.

At the popcorn kickoff, unit leaders will receive, sales materials, training, and leader tools. Every unit should send at least one leader.  Selling gourmet popcorn is a wonderful opportunity for units to earn funds to support their entire year of Scouting.

Unit advancement chairs are highly encouraged to attend the Advancement Academy to learn all about the advancement  for  all program levels. Cost is free if pre-registered. Lunch will be available for a small fee. The 2013 Guide to Advancement will be available for purchase at a special price.

Council Coordinated is a triannual meeting for district leadership to receive the updates from the council.

OA Fall Pow Wow is a weekend campout for Order of the Arrow members and is a combination of sports, games, expos, shows, ceremony competitions, Native American crafts, Pow Wows, and so much more.

Cub Scout Leader Pow Wow is a one-day training with new ideas and resources for Cub Scout leaders and parents.

The College of Commissioner Science is a day of training for commissioners from Commissioner Basic Training through advanced learning experiences in unit service

Each pack should send at least one representative to Spring Recruiting Night Training being held before roundtable.  The spring recruiting campaign focuses on recruiting new families to the fun and adventures of Cub Scouting. 

OA chapter meetings are for Order of the Arrow members and provide an opportunity for the youth to develop a plan to support units in the district, promote upcoming events, participate in ceremony team preparation and regalia building, learn leadership skills and have fun.

The commissioners meet monthly to review specific unit needs, discuss ways to support unit growth in the Journey to Excellence criteria, examine ways to promote events and provide resources to units, support on-time charter renewal, and evaluate ways to help the units and district maintain the standards of the Boy Scouts of America.

The objective of Roundtable is to give leaders program ideas, information on events and training opportunities, and an opportunity to share experiences and enjoy fun and fellowship with other Scouting leaders.

The Venturing Challenge is a weekend campout  filled with games, movies, crew against crew competitions, campfire program for the youth to bring prospective Venturers and Sea Scouts to a council-wide activity.
